A: Lower the window and, for electric window models, disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the door trim panel and partially peel back the liner to access the outside handle access hole. Temporarily install the window crank for manual windows or connect the battery for electric windows to raise the window, then disconnect the negative battery cable again for electric windows. Disconnect all links at the latch by prying the clip off the rod and rotating it to disengage the link. Remove the three Torx screws from the door end panel and detach the latch assembly; for electric window models, drill out the two rivets retaining the lock motor to the door and remove the motor along with the latch. Installation is the reverse of removal, using two short 1/4-20 bolts and nuts to replace the rivets holding the motor to the door for electric window models.
