    Q:
How to check and replace the transmission mount on Dodge Charger? Posted by Customer
    A:
Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Insert a large screwdriver or prybar into the space between the transmission extension housing and the crossmember and try to pry the transmission up slightly to check the transmission mount. The transmission should not move much at all and the rubber in the center of the mount should fully insulate the center of the mount from the mount bracket around it. To replace, support the transmission with a jack, remove the bolts attaching the crossmember to the chassis and mount and the bolts attaching the mount to the transmission. Raise the transmission slightly with the jack and remove the mount. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Be sure to tighten all fasteners to the Specifications.
