    Installation is the reverse of removal. Be sure to install new O-rings onto the line fittings and lightly coat them with the correct refrigerant oil. Only use O-rings that are designed specifically for A/C system applications. If you are replacing the receiver-drier with a new unit, add 0.8-ounce (25 ml) of refrigerant oil to the replacement. Have the system evacuated, recharged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.

    Remove the air filter housing. Remove both line fittings from the receiver-drier. Plug all openings immediately to prevent contamination. Remove the mounting fasteners retaining the receiver-drier bracket to the shock tower. Note the position of the ground strap (if equipped). Remove the receiver-drier.
