    Q:
How to Replace the rear Stabilizer Bar,Stabilizer Bar bushing and Stabilizer Bar link on a Dodge Magnum? Posted by Customer
    A:
To perform this procedure, ensure you have a transmission jack or equivalent and additional help from an assistant. Start by disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. Then, raise the rear of the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands under the frame rails, and remove the wheel. Next, remove the rear exhaust system and disconnect the driveshaft from the rear differential. Separate and detach the parking brake equalizer from the front parking brake cable and remove the bracket holding the parking brake cable to the subframe. Mark the subframe in relation to the chassis at all four mounting locations to maintain rear wheel alignment. Support the spring link with a floor jack and wood block, and remove the shock absorber lower mounting fasteners, slowly lowering the floor jack supporting the spring link. Remove the brake calipers and secure them to prevent damage to brake hoses during subframe lowering. Disconnect and remove the ABS wheel speed harnesses from the chassis. Place a transmission jack under the differential and secure it. Remove the fuel filler neck. With the transmission jack in place, remove all four subframe bolts and slowly lower the subframe enough to separate the driveshaft from the differential. Continue lowering the subframe to gain access to the sway bar link bushing kit retainers. Stabilize the subframe with additional jackstands. Remove the sway bar link bushing kit bracket fasteners, brackets, and bushings. Clean the sway bar link bushing kit and inspect the bushings and links for wear or damage. Replace any damaged components. During installation, ensure proper alignment of the subframe and coil spring, guide the shock absorbers and driveshaft into place, use correct bolt lengths, reinstall all components, simulate normal ride height, and tighten all fasteners. Finally, have the wheel alignment checked and adjusted if necessary.
