    Q:
How to Replace the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on Chrysler Imperial? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is monitored by the SMEC or SBEC (computer) located in the engine compartment. If the TPS malfunctions, a trouble code is stored in the logic module's memory. If a Code 24 is displayed, first check the circuit and, if necessary, replace the TPS. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Remove the air cleaner. Unplug the electrical connector from the TPS. Remove the two TPS to throttle body screws using a no. 25 Torx driver. Separate the TPS from the throttle shaft and remove the O-ring. Place the TPS with a new O-ring on the throttle body and install the retaining screws, tightening them securely. Plug in the electrical connector. Install the air cleaner. Connect the negative battery cable.
