    The MAP sensor is on the front of the intake manifold, just above the alternator. To access it, begin by removing the engine cover by pulling it up off the ballstuds. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the MAP sensor and remove the screw that retains it to the manifold. Carefully pull the sensor out of the manifold. Inspect the sensor O-ring for any signs of damage such as cracks, tears, or deterioration. Replace it if damaged. Installation is the reverse of removal.
