    To remove the rear axle assembly, start by raising the rear of the vehicle and supporting it with jackstands. Remove the rear wheels and disconnect the driveshaft and ABS sensor. Disconnect the parking brake cable and unscrew the vent hose fitting. Disconnect the brake lines and remove the rear brake calipers. Support the rear axle with a floor jack and remove the Watts link bellcrank bolt and stabilizer bar clamp bolts. Remove the lower mounting bolts securing the rear shocks and the upper control arms from the axle brackets. Lower the axle assembly and remove the coil springs. Remove the lower control arms and lower the axle assembly from under the vehicle. To install, reverse the removal procedure, ensuring all suspension fasteners are tightened and the U-bolt nuts are tightened. For the front axle assembly on 4WD models, raise the front of the vehicle and remove the front wheels. Remove the driveaxles and cross member. Disconnect the driveshaft and vent tube. Support the axle assembly with a floor jack and remove the fasteners securing it to the left engine mount, pinion nose bracket, and right engine mount. Lower the jack and remove the axle assembly from under the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.
