For the 3.6L V6 engine, raise the front of the vehicle and remove the catalytic converter. Remove the engine mount, disconnect the starter wiring, and remove the starter assembly. For the 2.4L engine (2015 and later), remove the fuse box/PDC and battery tray. Release the fuse box wiring harness clips and loosen the starter upper mounting bolt. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on jackstands. Remove the driveaxle, disconnect the battery positive cable from the starter motor, and remove the starter from the transaxle. Disconnect the starter solenoid electrical connector and guide the starter out from under the vehicle.
