During the check, the engine must be raised slightly to remove the weight from the mounts. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands.

During the mount inspection, check the mount insulators for any signs of rubber being cracked, hardened, or separated from the metal in the center of the mount. Also, check for relative movement between the mount and the engine or subframe.

After raising the vehicle and securing it on jackstands, remove the front wheels and tires.

For replacement, follow these steps: Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands (if not already done). Position a jack under the engine oil pan with a large wood block between the jack head and the oil pan. If you're removing the right side engine mount, remove the alternator support bracket. Remove the engine mount-to-subframe nuts and raise the engine with the jack. Remove the mount-to-engine bracket bolts. Install the new mount, making sure it is correctly positioned in the bracket. Install the fasteners and tighten them securely.

Raising the engine slightly during the check is done to remove the weight from the mounts, allowing for a proper inspection.

Remove the engine mount and replace it with the new one. Tighten the upper bolts to the specified torque.
