For the front mount replacement: 1. Raise the vehicle and remove the splash shield. 2. Support the engine with a block of wood. 3. Remove the front mount through-bolt and crossmember-to-mount bolts. 4. Take out the mount. 5. If the mount bracket needs replacement, remove the bracket-to-block bolts. 6. Installation follows the reverse order.

Position two jacks-one under the crankshaft pulley and the other under the transaxle bellhousing-using a block of wood to protect the components while raising the engine/transaxle just enough to relieve the mounts. Inspect the mounts for any cracks, hardened rubber, or separation from the metal plates, and check for movement between the mount plates and the engine or subframe. Tighten any loose fasteners as necessary. Applying rubber preservative can help slow deterioration.

To replace the right mount, raise the vehicle, remove the power steering fluid reservoir, support the engine, and take out the engine mount bracket and the mount itself. Replace it with a new one and tighten the bolts.

To replace the right mount, remove the coolant reservoir, raise the vehicle, and remove the under-vehicle splash shield. Move the heater tube out of the way, then remove the engine mount bracket-to-timing cover support bolts and the engine mount bracket-to-mount bolts. Support the engine, remove the engine mount-to-body bolts, and the body-to-mount bolts from underneath. Replace the engine mount, tighten the body-to-mount bolts, lower the engine, and tighten the mount-to-bracket bolts. The installation follows the reverse order.

To replace the right mount, raise the vehicle, remove the power steering fluid reservoir, support the engine, and take out the engine mount bracket and the mount itself. Replace it with a new one and tighten the bolts.
