Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Drain the cooling system and save the coolant if it's in good condition. Remove the cooling fan. Raise the vehicle and place it on jackstands. For turbocharged models, disconnect the power steering lines and remove the charge air cooler-to-radiator fasteners. For non-turbocharged models, angle the lower radiator air seal to make extra room for radiator removal. On all models, disconnect the transmission oil cooler hoses and the condenser from the radiator. Disconnect the upper and lower radiator hoses and carefully lift out the radiator. Remove bugs and dirt from the radiator and inspect for leaks and damage. On non-turbocharged models, remove the lower radiator side seal. Inspect the rubber seals or insulators in the lower and upper crossmembers and make sure they're free of dirt and gravel. Install the radiator correctly on the insulators and fasten the top brackets. Fill and bleed the cooling system with the correct mixture of antifreeze and water. Start the engine, check for leaks, and add more coolant if needed. If working on an automatic transaxle equipped vehicle, check and add fluid as needed.
