    Q:
How to Remove the Throttle Body on a Honda Accord on Jeep Liberty? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. Remove the air intake duct/resonator from the throttle body. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the throttle position sensor and idle air control valve. Label and detach all vacuum hoses from the throttle body. Detach the accelerator cable and, if equipped, the transmission control cable and cruise control cable. On 2006 and later V6 engines, there is one large electrical connector and no accelerator cable. Remove the three mounting bolts and remove the throttle body. Inspect the throttle body O-ring and replace if necessary. Install the throttle body and tighten the bolts to the torque. The remainder of installation is the reverse of removal.

    A:
Disconnect the battery's negative terminal. Remove the air intake duct, air resonator box, and electrical connectors from the TP sensor and idle Air Control motor. Label and disconnect vacuum hoses from the throttle body, replacing any damaged ones. Disconnect the accelerator and cruise control cables, remove mounting bolts and throttle body. Inspect and replace damaged O-ring. Wipe gasket surfaces. Avoid using spray carburetor cleaners or silicone lubricants. Reverse steps for installation. For Hemi engines, follow similar steps, but also remove the large rubber gasket. Clear any DTCs with a scan tool if installing a new throttle body.
