How to replace a tie-rod end on Chrysler Imperial?

Lift the vehicle's front, secure on jackstands, block rear wheels and set brake. Remove front wheels. Remove the tie-rod-to-steering knuckle cotter pin and disconnect the tie-rod with a puller. Loosen the jam nut and mark the tie-rod end position. Remove the tie-rod end. To install, thread it to the marked position and tighten the jam nut. Connect the tie-rod end to the steering knuckle, tighten the nut and install a new cotter pin. Have the alignment checked by a professional.
