A: Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the steering column covers. For 2001-2005 models, turn the wheel 1/2-turn clockwise and spread the spring clips. Pull out on the airbag module. For 2006 and later models, disconnect the electrical connector and unplug the horn and cruise control connectors. Remove the retaining bolt and mark its position. Reinstall the bolt and use a puller to free the wheel. Remove the clockspring by unclipping the latches, disconnecting the electrical connector, and turning the rotor 1/2-turn counterclockwise. Install the clockspring, ensuring the latch hooks engage and the connector is plugged in. Align the marks and install the wheel, tightening the bolt to the specified torque. Reconnect the electrical connectors and position the airbag module, pushing it in until the retaining pins engage.
