Disconnect the electrical connectors from both oxygen sensors.

On 2014 and earlier models, the exhaust manifold is mounted to the rear side of the cylinder head, while on 2015 and later models, it is mounted at the front.

The remainder of the installation follows the reverse order of removal. Finally, start the engine and check for exhaust leaks between the manifold and cylinder head as well as between the manifold and exhaust pipe.

Position the exhaust manifold with a new gasket and install the mounting bolts finger tight, ensuring the gaskets are identified by the correct cylinder designation and exhaust port position.

Start by raising the vehicle and securing it on jackstands. If applicable, spray penetrating oil on nuts and bolts for easier loosening. For 2.4L engines (2014 and earlier), remove the oxygen sensor and rear portion of the exhaust system, then detach the converter from the exhaust manifold. For 2.7L engines, remove the front exhaust manifold/catalytic converter by disconnecting oxygen sensors and other components. For rear exhaust manifold/catalytic converter, remove the engine cover, splash shield, crossunder pipe, and oxygen sensors. For 3.5L engines, remove the front and rear exhaust manifold/catalytic converters by disconnecting oxygen sensors and other fasteners. For 3.6L engines, remove the rear catalytic converter by loosening clamps and fasteners, then guide the converter out from the bottom. Before installing the converter, use anti-seize compound on threads and tighten the fasteners securely. Installation is the reverse of removal for all models.

Remove the crossunder pipe bolts to detach the crossunder pipe from the exhaust manifolds.

Position the exhaust manifold with a new gasket and lower heat shields, installing the mounting bolts finger tight while ensuring the gaskets are correctly identified by cylinder designation and exhaust port position.

Use anti-seize compound on threads and tighten the fasteners securely.

Position the new exhaust manifold with a new gasket, install the bolts finger tight, and tighten them gradually from the middle outwards.

If damage is discovered, the converter should be replaced.

Finally, run the engine to check for exhaust leaks.

First, relieve the fuel system pressure, detach the cable from the negative battery terminal, and drain the cooling system.
