How to Install the IAT Sensor on Dodge Avenger? Posted by Customer
    A:
The Intake Manifold Temperature sensor must be installed correctly in the air duct or housing. The sensor is located on the air filter housing or air inlet ducting. To remove the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector and turn it 1/4-turn counterclockwise before pulling it out. Replace the O-ring if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    Q:
How do you replace the IAT sensor and secure it in the fresh air inlet duct on Dodge Neon? Posted by Customer
    A:
Disconnect the negative battery cable and the electrical connector from the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor. Remove the air filter housing cover and the fresh air inlet duct. Using diagonal cutters, cut off the small steel band securing the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor to the fresh air inlet duct, then pull the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor straight out of its mounting pipe. Install a new steel band on the pipe for the Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor, place the new Intake Manifold Temperature Sensor in the fresh air inlet duct, and crimp the band with CV joint band crimping pliers or use a conventional hose clamp if those are unavailable, ensuring it is tightened securely. The installation process follows the reverse order of removal.
