Remove the heat shield mounting bolt and the heat shield.

The engine mounting system consists of four mounts: the right and left mounts support the engine/transaxle assembly, while the front and rear mounts control powertrain torque.

To replace the mounts, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Use a floor jack under the engine with a wood block to relieve weight from the mounts, then remove the necessary bolts and fasteners for the front, left, right, and rear mounts. Install new mounts and tighten the bolts securely after removal.

Access the left side transaxle mount through bolt using the hole in the inner fenderwell.

Remove the bolt to separate the transmission mount from the chassis, with the nut accessible through a hole behind the wheel assembly.

1. Remove the load on the engine mounts by carefully supporting the engine and transaxle assembly with a floor jack. 2. Loosen the right insulator vertical fasteners and the front engine mount bracket-to-front crossmember bolts and nuts. 3. The left engine mount insulator is sleeved over the shaft and long support bolt to provide lateral movement adjustment. 4. Pry the engine right or left as required to achieve the proper driveaxle length. 5. Securely tighten the right engine mount insulator vertical bolts, the front engine mount bolts and nuts, and center the left engine mount insulator. 6. Finally, recheck the driveaxle length.
