Remove the right side engine mount bracket and brace mounting bolts.

Remove the bolt to separate the front engine mount from the block, noting that the starter must be removed for access.

If movement is detected, lower the engine, tighten the mount fasteners, and consider applying rubber preservative to slow deterioration.

Remove the right side engine mount bracket and brace mounting bolts.

Inspect the mounts for cracks, hardening, or separation from the metal backing, and note any relative movement between the mount plates and the engine or frame.

1. Remove the load on the engine mounts by carefully supporting the engine and transaxle assembly with a floor jack. 2. Loosen the right insulator vertical fasteners and the front engine mount bracket-to-front crossmember bolts and nuts. 3. The left engine mount insulator is sleeved over the shaft and long support bolt to provide lateral movement adjustment. 4. Pry the engine right or left as required to achieve the proper driveaxle length. 5. Securely tighten the right engine mount insulator vertical bolts, the front engine mount bolts and nuts, and center the left engine mount insulator. 6. Finally, recheck the driveaxle length.
