The four powertrain mounts are: 1. The front mount, which connects the transaxle to the crossmember. 2. The left mount, which secures the driver's side of the engine to the subframe. 3. Inspect the mounts for any cracks, hardened rubber, or separation from the metal plates, and check for movement between the mount plates and the engine or subframe. Tighten any loose fasteners as necessary. Applying rubber preservative can help slow deterioration.

For the rear mount replacement, remove the throttle body air inlet tube and air filter housing, raise the vehicle, and remove the rear mount bracket-to-transaxle bolts. Separate the bracket from the mount, remove the mount-to-subframe mounting bolts, and replace the mount with a new one. Install the bracket and through-bolt to the mount, then install the mount to the subframe and transaxle, tightening all bolts to the specified torque.

The right mount requires removing the lower splash shield, engine ground strap, and specific fasteners before installing a new mount.

For the rear mount, access the top rear of the engine compartment to remove the mounting bracket-to-block bolts. Then, raise the vehicle and take out the mount assembly. Replace it with a new one and secure it to the subframe and engine block with the appropriate torque.

For the left mount, disconnect the negative battery cable, raise the vehicle, remove the middle engine splash shield and air filter housing, support the transaxle, and then remove the mounting bolts to replace the mount. Ensure to tighten the bolts to the specified torque.

The engine mounting system consists of four molded mounts. The right and left mounts support the engine/transaxle assembly, while the front and rear mounts restrict the torquing action of the powertrain.
