Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Set the parking brake, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Drain the cooling system. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connector and harness retaining pins. On 2011 and later models, remove the fasteners holding the wire loom to the upper radiator core support. Remove the upper radiator hose from the radiator. On 2011 and later models, remove the oil dipstick tube to make room for fan removal. Remove the upper clips and fasteners holding the fan assembly to the radiator. On later models, remove the fan shroud mounting bolts. Remove the cooling fan assembly by pulling it straight up and out of the engine compartment. Installation is the reverse of removal. Place the fan assembly back into the retaining clips for the side and bottom. Refill the cooling system.
