    Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the air filter housing and upper intake manifold (bank 2). Disconnect the electrical connector. Unscrew the sensor mounting bolt and pull the sensor. Check the O-ring and apply oil if OK. Insert the sensor and install the mounting bolt. Reverse for installation.

Apply a small dab of clean engine oil to the sensor O-ring and use a slight rocking motion to work it into the sensor mounting bore. Make sure the CMP sensor mounting flange is fully seated flat against the mounting surface.
