  • Q: How do you remove and install parking brake shoes on Chrysler Imperial?
    A: Remove the Brake Caliper and disc. Remove the hub and bearings. Remove the hold-down clip from the forward parking brake shoe. Back off the parking brake adjuster all the way, then remove it. Remove the upper shoe-to-shoe spring. Pull the forward shoe away from its anchor, then remove the shoe and lower spring. Remove the hold-down clip from the rear shoe, then remove the rear shoe. Reverse the process to install the shoes. Position the adjuster star wheel toward the front of the vehicle. Turn the star wheel to adjust the parking brake shoes. The remainder of installation is the reverse of the removal steps. Perform the same process on the other side of the vehicle.
