Q: How to Replace a Wheel Stud for the Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the wheel. Remove the brake disc or drum. Install a lug nut part way onto the stud being replaced. Push the stud out of the hub flange with a press tool. Insert the new stud into the hub flange from the back side and install some flat washers and a lug nut on the stud. Tighten the lug nut until the stud is seated in the flange. Reinstall the brake drum or disc. Install the wheel and lug nuts. Lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts to the torque.
